Garness Jones Reception
16/05/2012
A mechanical and electrical contracting firm is gearing up for relocation after outgrowing its former home.N&P directors Neil Firth and Paul Gray have been working with Time Developments on the designs for their bespoke new headquarters at Merrick Business Park.
The site has been prepared, foundations are in place and steel work will shortly be erected on the 4,000 square foot premises which are due for completion this month.
When completed, the premises will become home to N&P’s mechanical and electrical contracting firm, which now employs 34 people.
Mr Firth said: “After such a long time searching for a suitable building and site, and then a long period designing the space to fit our exact needs, it is really exciting to start to see the building come out of the ground.
“With all the proposed activity around the docks and the growing interest in suppliers to the renewables industry relocating to the area, we really feel we have found the perfect location to base our business, service our clients and take full advantage of the future opportunities.”
The new premises are being fitted with the latest technological advances to meet the team’s ambition to be carbon neutral.
Mr Firth said the location, just off Hedon Road in Hull, would improve accessibility for the company’s largest clients and strengthen links to the motorway network.
He said: “The development of our bespoke unit is a huge milestone in the development of our business and an investment we have to take extremely seriously.”
Richard Burns, director of Time Developments, said: “Neil and Paul have been involved at every stage of the design and planning. It has been great to work with them to create a space that will really work for them to drive the business forward.”
Dale Gooderham, Associate Director for Industrial at Garness Jones, said N&P’s own area of expertise will prove important in fitting out the new premises.
He added: “It is encouraging to see new, high quality commercial buildings being constructed in what are challenging times,” said Dale.
“This geographical location is expected to become more popular with the proximity to the docks and access to the A63.”
