'A perfect home for all our needs'

The director of an East Yorkshire marketing agency said the company has found its perfect home after recently relocating.

Linfoots Ltd which offers design and marketing services, has moved into new offices in Norwood Beverley.

The agency decided to move after selling its former town premises in Grovehill Road to a property developer in October 2006.

But due to a shortage of commercial property in the town, Linfoots only managed to move in to the new property about a month ago.

Founder David Linfoot said the new office was perfect for the company’s needs.

He said “It’s big enough for us, has a car park and is near the centre of Beverley.

“We have also managed to make the end into a small cottage for one of our members of staff, which is really good.”

Since moving into the property, Mr Linfoot said they had “gutted” the inside of the building, which dates back to about 1880.

He said it was now a modern-day working environment, but it still retains its original character.

Mr Linfoot said “We renovated the inside and put in a new staircase in glass and stainless steel.

“There are new carpets as well. We’ve done everything from scratch. The sun comes up in one of the windows and set across the other. It’s perfect.

“Hopefully, it will be the best move we make.”

The deal on the property was arranged by Beverley Road commercial agent Garness Jones.

Mr Linfoot said it passed off smoothly and the agency had dealt with it well.

Linfoots develops creative solutions for businesses in all areas of design and marketing, including advertising, brochures and literature, corporate identity, displays and point of sale, exhibitions, illustration and 3D modelling, web multimedia and packaging.

It has a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from shot gun cartridge manufacturers to holiday homes and solicitors.

The company was founded by Mr Linfoot in 1991 and since then has gone from strength to strength.

Paul White, surveyor with Garness Jones, said the Norwood property comprised of a ground and first floor office totalling 1,797sqft, with four car parking spaces to the rear.

He said it was formely occupied by commercial Iinsurance firm Marchant McKechnie, which had moved to offices in Annie Reed Road in Beverley.

He said he was delighted to have helped Linfoots find their new offices.

Mr White said “I’d like to wish both companies every success in their new locations.”
