Car showroom site changes hands

A landmark car showroom site on the edge of Hull has changed hands in a deal completed by Garness Jones.The Hyundai dealership next to the A63 at Livingstone Road, Hessle, is unaffected by the transaction and continues to trade normally, but the nature of the investment is seen as an encouraging sign for the motor trade.
“It was relatively straightforward in that we acted for a private family pension fund that owned the site and elected to sell it as part of their investment strategy,” said Dave Garness, Managing Director of Garness Jones.
“It has been acquired by another private family pension fund for an amount that was close to the asking price so everyone is pleased with the outcome. There was a lot of interest in the site and we think that shows confidence in the motor retail sector which has experienced a difficult time.”
