Garness Jones Reception
04/04/2012
A plastics recycling business is set for expansion after concluding a deal with Garness Jones for a move into its own premises.
Fabrico Recycling previously operated within the premises of Rainbow Professional Ltd, which supplies horticultural equipment including tree ties, tree guards and strapping all recycled from plastic and other substances.
Now the company has moved into more than 5,500 square feet of space in Alfred Street, off English Street in Hull.
Vince Franklin, who launched Fabrico Recycling, said the company is in the process of installing more equipment which will improve efficiency.
“We work with Rainbow and were operating from their premises, but they were expanding and it made sense for us to move to another site,” said Vince.
“So we moved in here at the beginning of the year and we’re up and running, buying and selling and recycling plastic for Rainbow and other customers.
“We’re also expanding as we go. There’s an area which is used for storage at the moment but we have a big machine coming in soon so that area will become our biggest workshop.”
Jack Ward, Surveyor at Garness Jones who concluded the deal, said the practice acted quickly and identified the building as ideal for Fabrico Recycling even before they had begun marketing it.
“None of the properties registered on the database at the time quite suited the business requirements,” said Jack.
“We were preparing the marketing material for the Alfred Street building but didn’t get a chance to complete that because Vince agreed a deal very soon after seeing the premises.”
