Garness Jones Reception
10/04/2012
Two young men who called time on their careers in a call centre to set up their own business have taken the next step on the road to success by expanding into premises with the help of Garness Jones.
Trevor Fileman and David Prosser, both in their 20s, found they shared expertise in welding and other metalwork when they met while working at a local call centre.
They set up Inspirigate Ltd last year and have built up a solid customer base through their supply of specialist metal gates, fencing and garden ornaments.
Expansion is gradual and the pair recently completed the move from Williamson Street in Hull to a unit of about 1,000 square feet at Lake Enterprise Park in Bergen Way, Sutton Fields Industrial Estate.
“As a new business with limited funding, value for many was extremely important for Trevor and David and they looked at a number of different premises,” said Jack Ward, Surveyor at Garness Jones.
“But we helped them find the right place and they have committed to it for three years. They had the same amount of space before but it was on two floors whereas this is all on the same level, which should make their work much easier.
“The site is in a good location and we’re working with Ashtenne Asset Management Limited to generate more activity. Many of the units are small, with flexible terms and are ideal for start-up businesses or companies such as Inspirigate which are expanding gradually.”
