Garness Jones can cement its position as the leading retail, industrial, investment and development specialists not only in York – but across the entire North - says the firm’s newly appointed Associate Director George Schofield.
Bringing experience of working across all sectors in commercial property to the firm’s York-based team, Mr Schofield believes the company is now perfectly placed to continue its recent growth and success.
“The opportunity to join Garness Jones at this period in its history, where we can build on the recent growth and expansion, and many years of success in East Yorkshire, is really exciting and one I jumped at,” he said.
“From my work at other firms in the sector, I was aware of how well renowned and respected Garness Jones is across Hull and East Yorkshire in particular, and its recent move into York has opened many doors.
“The business certainly has the potential to not only cement its position as the leader in York and North Yorkshire, but also into the North East, where I believe there is significant opportunity given the expertise we have.
“Garness Jones has a great reputation and track-record to take into new areas.
“The aim for me is to build on our current client base in York and North Yorkshire, and to use my personal contacts to drive and shape the direction of growth in retail, investment, development opportunities, the industrial and office sectors.”
Experience in managing shopping centre leases and land acquisitions
In recent years Mr Schofield has managed the leasing strategy across a large portfolio of shopping centres for an investor, as well as land acquisitions for a European power producer.
Other work has seen him involved in industrial and residential development, whilst he has also gained experience at one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure agency specialists.
